Hello there! My name is Emily, and I'm a long-term professional content writer and creative. I decided to start the Commonwealth Writers community to respond to the changes that have shaped our industry. The rise in AI-generated content, misinformation, and poor-quality writing means that it's genuinely difficult to find reliable truths on the web. But it doesn't have to be that way, — I see a future for writers that's not limited by technology, but enhanced by it. 

As a result, I use this site as a digital means to share my own work, but also to highlight great content I see online. I also invite other writers from my immediate community to share pieces as well. My goal is to create an ecosystem where writers and creatives like me can turn for news, resources, and stories that remind us why we do what we do: write, and write well.
